NDIS Household Tasks in Perth
Vacuuming. Laundry. Meals. Groceries. Small tasks, but they add up fast when disability, illness or reduced mobility get in the way. Horizon Living Group, a Registered NDIS Provider, works with participants across the Perth Metropolitan Area to keep these tasks manageable, built around what each person’s NDIS plan actually says and how they want their home run.

Household Tasks is the NDIS category covering domestic work most people don’t think about until it becomes hard. It’s not a service that takes over a home. It’s support for the bits that have become genuinely difficult to manage alone cleaning, laundry, cooking, keeping things in order.
The participant stays in charge. Which tasks they want help with, which ones they’d rather keep doing themselves, how their space is organised those decisions sit with them. As things change, so does the level of support. There’s no fixed template applied across every participant.
Cleaning covers vacuuming, mopping and general upkeep of living areas. For anyone who finds laundry physically taxing, we handle washing and ironing too, plus regular changes of bed linen so sleeping spaces stay comfortable and hygienic.
Kitchens get attention through dishwashing, tidying and, where cooking safely is a challenge, meal preparation support. Grocery shopping is another area we help with. Sometimes that means sitting down and working through a list together. Sometimes it means going along to the shops in person.
Clutter gets sorted through organising household spaces, which matters more than it might sound — a chaotic home can make everyday tasks harder, not easier. None of these services come pre-packaged. What a participant actually receives depends on their NDIS plan and their stated goals, checked against real need rather than a standard offering.
Support workers spend time understanding a participant before anything else happens. How they like their home managed. What matters to them. What they’d rather handle on their own. Skipping this step leads to support that doesn’t actually fit, so we don’t skip it.
Consistency is non-negotiable. The same standard should apply on every visit, delivered by workers who treat someone’s home the way they’d want their own treated. Where it’s appropriate, support is designed to build a participant’s own capability rather than replace it entirely.
Families, Support Coordinators and Plan Managers are kept informed as a matter of course. If circumstances shift, we’d rather know early and adjust than let a mismatch develop between what’s provided and what’s needed.
Registration as an NDIS Provider means operating under NDIS Commission governance and quality standards. That’s the floor, not the ceiling. Our Director’s background more than ten years in healthcare and aged care leadership shapes how quality and oversight get managed day to day.
Support workers understand the practical mechanics of household tasks and the more personal reality of being a guest in someone’s home. Communication with families and Support Coordinators stays responsive, and support plans get built around the individual rather than lifted from a generic framework.
Referrals move quickly once received. Standards don’t slip between the first phone call and years of ongoing support that consistency is the point.
Supporting Participants Across Perth
Household Tasks and Domestic Assistance support reaches participants throughout the Perth Metropolitan Area, from inner suburbs to outer growth corridors. We coordinate with families, Support Coordinators, Plan Managers and healthcare professionals so that support stays aligned with each participant’s plan no matter where they’re located.
This service also connects with the other supports on offer Personal Care, Community Nursing, Community Participation, Travel & Transport and Development of Daily Living Skills giving participants a coordinated approach rather than a set of disconnected services.
